8 kittens, 5 adult cats 8 puppies, 8 adult dogs, 3 holds, adult dogs

Grant Subject: Vicki reported that she plans to apply for a Fayette Community Grant for spaying and neutering on behalf of FOTAS. She added that FOTAS is in the process of
getting a 501C3 non-profit status. Deadline for grant is October 31. Fund Raising Idea: Vicki explained that Barry offered to purchase a Limited Edition
Rifle to raffle. He expects it to raise $6000.00 and plans to donate half of the proceeds to FOTAS. Members agreed that this would be a good fund raiser.

Treasurer’s Report: Durel reported $3848.81 in checking account and $5 in savings
account. He also mentioned that t-shirts can still be ordered.

Social Media Report: Steve reminded members of our mission to help shelter animals get adopted and also to deter the number of unwanted pets by spaying and neutering
efforts. He also encouraged members to advocate for the shelter to open on Saturdays and for volunteers to be allowed to responsibly take shelter pets to events that may
        result in adoptions.
Steve also mentioned that FOTAS Facebook page has grown to 939 followers.
Steve plans to add specific topics under FORUMS section of the FOTAS website and encouraged members to participate.
Carly and Carson volunteered to develop a FOTAS TIK TOK and reels for FOTAS social media.

Updates of FOTAS in the Community:
Vicki thanked everyone for volunteering to man the FOTAS booth at the Fayette’s Arts Festival and the Frog Level Festival. She also thanked Carly, Carson and Steve for
participating in Berry’s Homecoming parade. FOTAS will also be participating in Fayette’s Homecoming parade on Friday.

Vicki proposed and members agreed on a Christmas get together in lieu of monthly
        meeting in December.

Other Business: Vicki reported that she, Jane and Mrs. Toni met with Probate Judge Mike Freeman and he advised that he would meet with County Administrator to discuss the Animal Shelter. Durel added that he too spoke to Mr. Freeman regarding shelter business on behalf of FOTAS. Vicki recommended that members reach out to their
County Commissioners regarding Animal Shelter topics (opening on Saturday and
        taking animals to adoption events).

Vicki will share info from animal shelter surveys on the website. She reminded members that all other shelters stated that Saturday is their busiest day of the week and
that their animals are allowed to be taken outside of the shelter for events. Members agreed that letters to the local District Attorney, presiding Judge as well as a
Letter to the Editor should be sent from FOTAS urging proper action and encouraging animal welfare involving a recent animal cruelty charge.

Vicki reported that FOTAS mugs have been ordered.
