        Welcome: Jane welcomed members.

        Election of officers will take place in May as the slate is incomplete

        Update on Animal Shelter Population: Alyssa Stutts stated that shelter is currently full
        and housing a large number of puppies.

        Treasurers Report: Durel Landry
        $150 in donations received. Online donations.
        Checking $ 4224.69
        CD $6065.11
        Savings $5

        Discussion of Community Outreach: Laurie Newman plans to set up donation cups in
        local businesses for FOTAS funds and recognition.

        Social Media Update: Alyssa Stutts explained that Fayette County website now has a
        Commissioner’s page for issues to be shared. She penned a compassionate request for
        the animal shelter to be open on Saturdays, “Doggy Days Out” for adoption
        opportunities and more available volunteer hours. She also encouraged others to
        comment and share their thoughts on this page.

        Berry Festival sign-ups: Kim Dodson
        Friday, April 25 5p – (late)
        April 26 8a – 3p
        FOTAS will offer doggie and kitty bags as well as a drawing for a pet-geared prize.
        Carly and Carson plan to be on duty throughout the festivals and anyone else who
        Would like to volunteer are welcomed.

        Old Business:
         Jane encouraged members to attend County Commissioners meetings. Next
        meeting is Monday, April 14 @ 6pm.

        Nancy Hodges is the new County Administrator. She is a friend of FOTAS
        member Jackie Stevens and we look forward to working with her.
        New Business:
         Representatives from MSU plan to visit Fayette Animal Shelter and offer free
        recommendations for opportunities for improvements (disease control). Phil is
        aware and in agreement.
         Donna mentioned the need for vet discounts for those who are fostering pets for
        FOTAS.

         Durel mentioned that he recently spoke to retired veterinarian Mark Brown and
        he discouraged groups from using No Kill Shelters because they are not
        regulated and are prone to dog fights and lack of care.
