Welcome and Introductions

Report on the Animal Shelter as of 11 am:
2 adult cats        7 puppies, 11 adult dogs        no holds

Grant Result – FOTAS’ request was rejected since our non-profit status is still pending.  The Community Foundation did however
allot an additional $4000 to the Fayette Animal Shelter for spay/neuter service on our behalf.

Update on Non-Profit application – expecting completion within the next 3-4 months

Treasurer’s Report – FOTAS officers voted to invest in 6 month/ $6000 CD with AL One.  $4031.04 checking acct. $5 savings acct

T Shirts still available, more Mugs re-ordered. Members were indifferent about Key Chains and proposed stickers. Vicki and Kim
will get quotes for stickers.

Alissa Strutts has created a FOTAS TikTok page

$500 grant for Spay and Neuter Education. Ideas? – a $500 donation has been made with the request to offer Spay/Neuter
education. Billboard, radio and Times Record were mentioned.

Members agreed to proceed with the following Projects:
 Assisting with motherless puppies and kittens
 Reducing deaths at the shelter by testing puppies and kittens for parasites
 Researching state and local laws on treatment of animals – Amy to undertake.
 Researching ways to improve indoor and outdoor sanitation at the shelter
 Historian/Archivist – Laurie Newman volunteered to maintain.

Thank you to everyone who attended the Christmas Party and a special thank you to Toni Robertson for hosting.  Thank you to Kim
Dodson for composing letters supporting harsh sentencing for animal cruelty and for taking on Buford.
